Swimming through the jargon. What does it all mean?

It’s hard enough for patient’s to understand much of the medical jargon and Doctor’s don’t expect patients to understand. Admittedly, some doctors don’t even understand specific medical terminology if it is not their area of expertise. Some doctors have difficulty putting their findings into a written document that is coherent. Every physician has their own style, and if you so happen to interact with one that isn’t as articulate, things can get very confusing.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have someone on your side to help you navigate the jargon. I know I get confused when people in different professions, use their industry language. Why not just put it in plain English for people to understand. Medical reports and results should also be broken down into wording that’s easier to understand. I’m not talking definitions, but what it actually means to a patient. Medical jargon is really geared for documenting to their colleagues. How can a lay person make a decision on something they don’t even understand.

There are not many doctor’s that will take the time to sit down and do this. If you have one, keep them, they are few and far between. Doctors have so much to juggle, its hard for them to really take the time to spend it the way they want to with their patients. Others will have to rely on outside services that will do this. Those are not easy to find either. Lucky for you, you’ve stumbled across this blog which can help you. XraysXplained.com is to do exactly what patients need. A clear explanation of what the medical jargon means and their medical images show. Want more information? Contact us now.
